For a while now, I’ve been running to/from climbing. It may get me a bit tired, but I get there already warmed up (and quicker).
Although I wasn’t very good at it, I’m starting to get better: not loosing breath so quickly, and being able to do a lot more distance/time. Before, I could hardly run 1km decently, now I can do nearly the whole 5 miles that it takes to go climbing, up and downhill, with my backpack and all.
I used to hate running, and for a bit it was really only to get to climbing a bit faster. Now, I’ve started going only for the fun of it!
